Lisa Cohn, Bloomfield Public Library librarian and Director of Adult Programming believes so, so she recently devised Game Night on Wednesday evenings.

“A lot of libraries do game nights for kids. Adults should have fun, too. This is free community programming. We can do library programs for the community at no charge for us – and no charge for you (the patron).”

The program commenced on Wednesday evening, July 13, and game playing took place in both the Adult and Children’s Divisions. Head Children’s Librarian Emily Knorr was unavailable, but part-time staffer Sandra thinks the idea is wonderful. “I think it’s a great thing for a family to come out and get quality time. For the child, they get out with the family to the library, and enjoy all the resources it provides for youth.
